Please ensure you attend to the following areas of cleaning when vacating the property:
GARDEN – Front & Back yards (where applicable)
- Mow Lawn
- Weed garden
- Rake leaves
- Prune trees and plants
- Remove rubbish
- Sweep paved areas
- Remove cobwebs from windows, door frames, eaves & trellises
- Neatly wind up hoses
- If colorbond fences, hose down fence after mowing, edging
INTERIOR – all rooms in general
Remove marks from walls (eg use sugar soap)
- Dust architraves & skirtings
- Remove cobwebs from cornices
- Remove fingermarks from around light switches
- Dust light shades & replace all burnt out light bulbs
- Clean blinds (steam clean curtains)
- Clean windows (both inside & out)
- Clean window sills
- Clean all flyscreens
- Mop floors
- Professionally steam clean carpets (Please provide copy of receipt to Property Manager)
BATHROOM
Clean vanity, basin & mirrors
- Clean benches & cupboards
- Clean tiles & grouting, remove mould (eg use Exit Mould)
- Clean bath tub
- Clean shower recess
- Clean all taps & spouts
- Clean exhaust fan
KITCHEN
- Clean exhaust fan
- Clean oven & grill
- Clean stove, hotplates & nobs
- Clean sink
- Clean all splashback tiles, remove any mould
- Clean out pantry & shelving in all cupboards, wipe down all surfaces including front of cupboards
- Wipe down benches
- If property furnished, move fridge out of recess & clean behind
TOILET
- Clean exhaust fan
- Clean inside and out of toilet bowl
- Wipe down cistern, toilet seat and cover
- Wipe clean toilet rose
GARAGE / CARPORT
- Sweep out garage
- Wipe cobwebs from garage door
- Clean windows & sills
- Remove cobwebs from cornices
- Remove any oil stains from concrete / driveway
ADMINISTRATION MATTERS
- Get your mail redirected to your new address – through the Post Office
- Get the electricity and/or gas disconnected
- Get the home phone line disconnected
Please make special note that NO RUBBISH is to be left on or out the front of the property. If there is a collection due and you wish to leave items for collection you will need to notify us when returning keys- Otherwise our handyman will remove rubbish at the tenants (your) expense.
